Vineyard description This unique wine was produced from the vineyards planted 2008. In the vineyard located in Toplica, on the mountain slopes at altitude of 450m above sea level. The position of the vineyard is south and south-west oriented. The terroar of this region is specific with climate difference during the night and day in the ripening season up to 15degrees. Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio were grown on soil with complex structure, mixture of clay, stones and in deeper layers sand. The vines were cropped low so that yield is small and controlled, which is important when it comes to the fully development of the flavour during ripening season. Winemaker comment Grapes were hand-picked at optimal ripeness and grapes were pressed into stainless steel tanks. Grapes were cool fermented at low temperature. Half of the Chardonnay grapes after alcohol fermentation were aged for 6 months. Barrels that are used are French, of which 30% are new each year. Grape composition: 50% Pinot Grigio 50% Chardonnay 2017; Origin: AOC Toplica; Position: south, southwest slopes; Altitude: 450 m; Harvest: hand pick grapes, 1st or 2nd week of September; Alcohol: 13%; Aging: Half of Chardonnay is aged 6 months in barrique (French, Hungarian and Serbian oak); Category: dry wine.
